Planning Commission

The Union Township Planning Commission is an advisory committee comprised of five volunteer citizens who are appointed by the Union Township Board of Supervisors to serve a renewable two-year term. The function of this commission is to review zoning ordinances, land development plans, re-zoning requests, and other business pertaining to the growth and development of Union Township. Their opinions are taken into consideration by the Board of Supervisors when official action must be taken to enact or amend ordinances, or approve land development plans. The commission members meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Union Township office. Meetings are open to the public. As with the Supervisors’ meeting, all comments, suggestions, and ideas are welcome during the “public comment” portion of the meeting agenda.
